For the love of the street and print
I’ve always worked alone on the streets. It wasn’t until early 2023 that I started hitting the streets with other photographers and realised that we all enjoy making images but we also all struggle with the same issues on our creative journey.
What do we want to make, what do we really want to tell with our images, what is the creative process, how do we present our work, how do we get more exposure, etc.
It helped (and still helps) me immensely to discuss this journey with like-minded people.
That’s why I started projects like Dutch Street Magazine, State of Amsterdam and Street.Zines, so we can get to know each other, learn from each other and support each other.
With Street.Zines I give everybody the opportunity to show and get their own zine. Because when you make your zine you have come a long way. You think about a certain topic, you make a selection of your images and you need to think how to present your story. All this effort you put in your craft deserves to be seen.
